Toying around with a few imaginative hobbies can be calming to most creative souls that have become overwhelmed with the toil of daily life; and would much rather wander a fictional world, whether it be in a game, a book or their own minds. Only problem is that these hobbies can be expensive, especially if you're only dabbling in it. This blog will feature the how to's in creating craft items, writings and cosplay that will amuse you and will not cause unimaginable pain to your bank account.
About the FairyGirl
The FairyGirl is the person that most likely looks like, and probably, fits in with everyone else; but there's that something about them that is just a little bit... odd.
It's the wings: borne from a mix of niche interests, a unique sense of humour, differing world perception and just a touch of crazy; they're hard to hide.
They are the coolest aunts on earth who can make anything fun, the gamer at a party who wishes they were home or the girl who has Japanese songs on her phone because she binge-watches anime... or is that just me?
So, if you have been scouring the internet and landed on my blog, chances are you've been looking for something not at all mainstream. The internet can be quite informative, but by the same token, it can be very unhelpful.
I was never more aware of this when I started shopping around for my Nelliel tu Odelschwanck cosplay outfit to wear at the Fantasy Fayre 2017. The hours I wasted skimming through website after website, tutorial after tutorial, only to find most of these do not cater to a South African market and budget was a frustration I never needed in my life. I had Worlds Unknown to frolic around in, darn it!
This was when I decided to create this blog, to forge a path through niche interest markets, so your journey will easier to travel than mine, leaving more time for you to concentrate on the creative part of your exploits.
